In this research area, we investigate the evolution, transmission, and fitness effects of transferable resistance determinants in clinically important bacteria.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Emerging Pathogens and Outbreak Genomics<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u65b0\u8208\u75c5\u539f\u9ad4\u8207\u75ab\u60c5\u57fa\u56e0\u9ad4\u5b78<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using whole-genome sequencing and comparative genomics, we study the emergence, transmission, and persistence of clinically important bacterial pathogens. We aim to uncover molecular mechanisms that shape pathogen behavior in host-associated environments.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Symbiotic Microbes and Vector Control Genomics<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5171\u751f\u5fae\u751f\u7269\u8207\u4e4b\u57fa\u56e0\u9ad4\u5b78\u61c9\u7528<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our group develops adaptive sequencing methods to obtain complete genomes of endosymbiotic bacteria such as&nbsp;Wolbachia&nbsp;from complex mosquito-associated samples. We welcome students from biology, medicine, agriculture, data science, and related fields.
